During this time Millonarios was considered one of the best teams in the world, with players including Alfredo Di Stefano, Adolfo Pedernera, Nestor Raul Rossi and Julio Cozzi. With this group of stars the team became widely known as “The Millonaires” and won 4 Colombian leagues (1949,1951,1952,1953).
